His education includes: M.Sc., Botany His research interest is in Tree breeding and Community forestry and extension research. His ongoing projects are: Phenotypic selection, reproduction and propagation in Ailanthus excelsa : Perspectives for Safety Matches Industry and Farmers in Tamilnadu and Evaluation of improved germplasm of Eucalyptus camaldulensis and E. tereticornis for productivity, wood traits, tolerance to insect pests and diseases and management for higher seed production.
