Low-dimensional systems in condensed matter: Quantum confinement effects, interactions /hybridization, Fermi surfaces and surface transport of thin films in Surface alloys, Self assembledsuperstructures on metals and semiconductors, Graphene, Silicene and Organic films. Electronic and magnetic properties: Spin-orbit coupling, symmetry-broken environments, Rashbaeffect, electron-phonon interaction, electron-electron interaction, many-particle effects, Lowdimensionalmagnetism, isolated magnetic impurities, Kondo effect, magnetic anisotropy.
