Biography
Doctor of Philosophy in Botany under the guidance of Dr.(Mrs.) Neeta Sharma, Associate Prof. Mycology and Plant Pathology Unit, Botany Department, Lucknow University, Lucknow PhD Thesis entitled ‘Use of stress tolerant bacterial strain for promoting plant growth’. Worked as CSIR-SRF: project aimed at survey and study of plant pathogen Alternaria brassicae causing leaf spot of crucifers and management of the disease by use of stress tolerant biological control bacteria in field conditions.
Research Interest
Development of bioconrol innoculants as an alternative strategy for ecofriendly management of plant and postharvest diseases. Elucidation of mode of action of bacterial and fungal bioagents against pathogens. Screening of Antimicrobial/Antifungal metabolites of biocontrol bacteria and fungi by various methods, their extraction and characterization.
