Biography

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in the field of Transportation with research topic “Assessment of Impact of Traffic Noise on Residential Areas along Urban Roads: Case Study-Delhi Urban Area”. Post-graduate in „Masters in Planning with Specialization in Transportation Planning‟ from country's Premier Institute; School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi with a bachelor degree in Civil Engineering. Have experience of more than 16 years in the field of Transportation Planning and Engineering. Worked extensively in the preparation of urban transportation plans, feasibility studies for various highway projects including BOT projects, traffic management, operation and maintenance of highway projects, inland container terminal and urban infrastructure services. An effective team player with leadership skills, highly result and quality oriented. Worked on a number of projects funded by state PWD‟s, international organizations like World Bank and Private Developers. Proficient in Windows Operating System, AutoCAD, hands on experience on GIS. As Assistant Director (Technical)/Deputy Director (Technical) at NCR Planning Board, Ministry of Urban Development, Govt. of India was in-charge of Transportation Sector, worked exclusively on framing of Terms of References (ToR) of the Studies, preparation of Request for Proposal (RFP) documents, development of evaluation criteria of consultants at Expression of Interest (EoI) & Technical Proposal stage and thereafter monitoring of studies. Having ten years of teaching experience, out of which two years as full time faculty member in Integral University, Lucknow as Associate Professor and eight years of teaching experience as visiting faculty in School of Planning & Architecture, New Delhi and Faculty of Architecture and Ekistics, Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi. Participated in seven overseas trainings/capacity building programmes/conference in London, Paris, Frankfort, San Francisco, New York, Seoul, Malaysia, Singapore and Manila and seven training/workshops in India at IIT-Kanpur; School of Planning & Architecture, New Delhi; National Institute of Training for Highway Engineers (NITHE), Noida, UP; Council for Social Development, New Delhi; Central Road Research Institute (CRRI), New Delhi & Institute of Urban Transport (IUT), New Delhi.
