Biography

Dr. P. Y. Naik is one of the founders of INTOX, and is the whole time Director and the CEO of INTOX Pvt. Ltd. He is the Test Facility Management of the GLP organization of INTOX. Dr. Naik has a long experience of over 35 years in regulatory toxicology and allied subjects. Now a well known figure in the regulatory toxicology in India, Dr. Naik initially served at Seth G. S. Medical College (KEM Hospital), and then at the Haffkine Institute in Mumbai. Thereafter he actively worked for 15 long years in the capacity of 'Head- Biology Division' for Indian Institute of Toxicology (Pune), a proprietary toxicology CRO, since its inception in 1981 by his senior colleague Late Dr. M. B. Bhide and headed it after his demise in 1992.  Dr. Naik, completed his Ph.D in Applied Biology, in 1989 from Bombay University. He has undergone 'Advance Course in Toxicology' (BIBRA) from London, in 1990. Dr. Naik is member of many professional bodies / societies related to Toxicology / Animal Welfare. He has number of publications in National and International Journals.  Dr. Naik is a recipient of the 'Distinguished Scientist Lifetime Achievement Award - 2009' of the Society of Toxicology, India.
