Dr. Narendra S. Deshmukh

Biography

Dr. Narendra Deshmukh is one of the founders of INTOX, and is the whole time Director of INTOX Pvt. Ltd. He looks over the responsibility of the Technical Director in the GLP organization of INTOX.  Dr. Deshmukh is a Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology (DABT).  He is also one of the Directors of and a Charter Diplomate of the Indian Board of Toxicologic Pathology (IBTP).  With a degree in Veterinary Medicine (BVSc & AH) in 1987, Narendra Deshmukh earned his Master's degree (M. V. Sc.) in Veterinary Pathology in 1990 from the Department of Pathology, Bombay Veterinary College, Mumbai.  After working in a toxicological CRO for about 5 years (1990-1994) he joined Ranbaxy Research Laboratories, New Delhi, where, during 1994-1996, he contributed notably in establishment of the first pre-clinical toxicology laboratory of Ranbaxy's New Drug Discovery Research (NDDR).  During his experience of over 24 years in regulatory toxicology and toxicologic pathology, Dr. Deshmukh has been involved in planning and executing several types of large numbers of safety assessment studies on a diverse range of products such as chemical and biological pharmaceuticals & plant protection products including GM plants and also medical devices.  Dr. Deshmukh has also undergone several trainings in GLP and is a WHO Certified GLP trainer. He is member of many professional bodies / societies and has several publications at his credit in National and International Journals.
