Sajid Hussain

Biography

Hi, I am Sajid and I am currently leading the protein engineering team at Invictus to develop immuno-conjugates for anticancer therapy. My doctoral work was in protein therapeutics at University Zurich, and postdoctoral training was in cancer metastasis at the University of California, Santa Barbara. After 4 years of postdoctoral training, I joined Invictus at its infancy. My research involves designing next generation protein therapeutics having high specificity, superior anti-cancer activity and reduced unspecific toxicity. Invictus is an excellent and stimulating place to do innovative translation research. The intellectual challenge, as well as the practical realities of being directly involved in building a world class biotech company, is exciting and equally rewarding. Apart from work, I am passionate about the environment, love going fishing and gardening.
