Biography
I am interested in understanding disease models such as 'cancers' from the perspective of developing rational drugs with higher threshold for selection of resistance. After my undergraduate (in Biochemistry) and graduate studies (in Biotechnology and Biophysics) at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, I moved to the University of Massachusetts Medical school, Worcester, Massachusetts, for PhD studies on the role of protein flexibility on activity (JACS, 2012), substrate recognition pathways (Protein Science, 2012) and drug resistance (Journal of Virology, 2013) in HIV-1 protease system. My expertise is in structure based drug design, macro-molecular crystallography and protein biochemistry.
