Biography

Professor Gupta is recently appointed and joined as Director–cum-Principal. He did his pharmaceutical education B Pharm. (1993) and M Pharm. (1995) from Dr. H. S. Gaur University, Sagar (MP), Ph. D (2000) from Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, SGSITS, Devi Ahilya University, Indore and MBA (2011) in HR, Sikkim Manipal University. He has contributed two decades of dedicated service towards Pharmaceutical Education and Research. Prof. Gupta is a prolific writer with 130 Publications in various reputed peer-reviewed journals to his credit, encompassing 85 Research Papers, 45 Review Articles and Fourteen professional books. Besides, he has been instrumental in having granted 1 design Patents and 02 patents filled. He has guided 11 doctoral and 96 postgraduate research projects students. His prime areas of expertise and interest have been Pharmaceutics conventional and Novel Drug Delivery system. He is a widely traveled and shared his experience through more than 55 Invited Talks as prestigious forums in India and also presented his research work in USA and Spain and received 100% travel grant from AICTE and UGC. Dr. Gupta and his team have also presented more than 100 Papers in various Conferences/Symposia in India and abroad. Many papers have been awarded with “Best Paper Award”. He is a member of the Editorial Board and Advisory committee of various National and International Journal repute. His contributions have fetched him several National and International awards i.e. Education Excellence Award, Best Poster Paper Award (APTI), MAN OF THE YEAR –2000, from American Biographical Institute, USA, Best Director Award and Recently Society of Pharmaceutical Education and Research awarded as Principal of the Year Award 2016 during the International Conference held at CGC Ladra on 05.03.2016. He has served as Chairman, Board of Studies Pharmacy, IK-PTU, Jalandhar and Secretary APTI, MP. He is Chairman-Board of Studies, Clinical Research, IK PTU, Jalandhar, Advisor C- Human Right Munch Punjab, Ex-Vice-President-APTI Punjab, Member Executive Committee central APTI, Executive Member, IPA and Founder President of registered ALCOHOL FREE SOCIET, President (Punjab State), Society of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (SPER) Dr. Gupta established four Institute under his leadership as Principal and Director B. N. College of Pharmacy, Udaipur, GRY Institute of Pharmacy, Khargone, Sagar Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Sagar and Director–cum-Member Secretary, Amar Shaheed Baba Ajit Singh Jujhar Singh Memorial College of Pharmacy, BELA (Ropar). Dr. Gupta is a life member of various Professional societies. Besides academics and research, Professor Gupta is a good human being and very social and friendly with his colleagues.
