Biography
Dr. Das had earned his Ph.D. in Biophysics, Molecular Biology and genetics in 1996 from the University of Calcutta, India. He was awarded the prestigious INSA Award for Young Scientist by Indian National Science Academy, Government of India in 1997 and Young Scientist Research Grant” from Indian National Science Academy entitled “Pathogenecity in Candida albicans” in 1997.
Research Interest
His field of specialization are Molecular Biology, Genetics, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology of Messenger RNA in Eukaryotes, quality control of Eukaryotic gene Expression, Messenger RNA decay and surveillance and regulation of Eukaryotic gene Expression in Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
