Biography
Subir K.Das has completed his: B.Sc. with Hons. in Physics: University of Calcutta, 1993; M.Sc. in Physics : University of Calcutta, 1995; Ph.D. in Physics : Jawaharlal Nehru University, 2002; Advisor: Professor Sanjay Puri; Postdoc: Institute of Physics, Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz, Germany, 2002-2005; Advisor: Professor Kurt Binder and Professor Juergen Horbach; Postdoc: Institute for Physical Science and Technology, University of Maryland, USA, 2005-2007; Advisor: Professor Michael E. Fisher.
Research Interest
Subir K.Das research involvement has been in the statistical mechanics of phase transitions and related areas. I am interested in investigation of condensed-matter systems both at and away from equilibrium, for which I use Monte Carlo, molecular dynamics and field theoretic continuum dynamical models.
