Biography
Specialized in optical communications (M.Tech) at IIT, Delhi and presently pursuing PhD in JNTU in the field of Fiber Optics. Her research interests include Fiber Optic Sensors & Systems, Optical Communications, Microwave Engineering & related topics, Hardware Design of Analog and Digital Circuits for various types of applications. She has eight years of teaching experience and thirteen years of industrial experience in production oriented R&D of Fiber optic systems at ECIL, Hyderabad. While working in ECIL, she was a designer of fiber optic systems for various non-telecom and defense applications with installations at customer sites, like, ADA, ADE, ISRO, NRSA and CVRDE at Avadi. As the chief investigator of a 45 lakh rupees Grant-In-Aid Project from DOE, she developed a ‘Latent Print Finder System’ as an important substitute for use by Police and NCRB. She had undergone Advanced Training in Fiber Optic System Design at University of Tampere, Finland and University of Bremen, Germany as a UNDP Fellow. She has participated in a number of workshops and conferences in the field of Fiber Optic Applications and delivered expert lectures as a resource person for several Refresher Courses in Fiber Optics related topics, Electromagnetic Waves and Transmission Lines, Fault Tolerant Systems and Analog circuit design. She is a Fellow IETE, Life Member of ISTE and a Member of IEEE. She is the present Branch Counselor of IEEE student branch of JNTUCEH.
