Dr. Samaiya Nitin Kumar

Biography

Dr. Nitin Kumar Samaiya did B.E. in Civil Engineering from NIT Surat (erstwhile SVRCET Surat), M.Tech. in Civil Engineering from IIT Roorkee and Ph.D. from IIT Roorkee. He joined Jaypee Institute of Engineering and Technology in June 2006. His research interests include Fluvial Hydraulics, Flow in Compound Channel, Design of Hydraulic Structures and Groundwater Pollution. He has guided many UG projects. He has also guided one PhD scholar. Presently he is guiding four Ph.D. scholars in various fields of Civil Engineering. Dr. Samaiya has organized various conferences/workshops and short-term courses in the field of Civil Engineering. He has published many research papers in various journals. He has published and presented many research papers in various conferences, He has also attended many national and international conferences. He is also associated with many renowned International Journals as reviewer. He is expert member of District Level Expert Appraisal Committee (DEAC), constituted for environmental clearance for minor mining projects in Guna and Ashoknagar districts. He is life member of Indian Society for Hydraulics (ISH), India. He is life member of Indian water Resources Society (IWRS), India. He is life member of Indian Society for Wind Engineering (ISWE), India. Life member of Thomson Alumni Association (IIT Roorkee).
