Biography
Dr. Sunil Kumar Srivastava has done B.Sc. (HONS.) and M.Sc. from Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and M.Tech. &Ph.D from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, India. He was in Gecentrum, Uppsala University, Sweden during his research work under Linneaus Palme Scholarship funded by SIDA. He has supervised various B.Tech., M.Tech. Ph. D. students and Research Projects funded by Government Authority. He has done detailed research work in "Hydrology, Ground Water Modeling, Hydrochemistry and Biogeochemistry of aquifer and fluvial sediments". The work involved sampling and physio-chemical analysis of sediment and ground water samples including Arsenic and related metals. Simulation of solute transport has been carried out by using Visual MODFLOW/MT3D. He has visited Stockholm, Uppsala, Lund, Gothenburg (all in Sweden), Helsinki (Finland), Paris (France), Delft (Netherlands), London (UK) and Oslo (Norway) for different purpose like Research/Conference/Seminar/Tourist etc. He worked as Senior Lecturer in the Department of Biotechnology/Applied Sciences in IMS Engineering College, Ghaziabad since May 2006 to June 2008. He joined Jaypee University of Engineering and Technology in July 2008 in Department of Chemical Engineering. He has number of research papers published in International Journals (Springer and Elsevier Publisher) like Journal of Environmental Geology, Journal of Environmental Earth Science, Journal of Environmental Monitoring Assessment, Journal of Hydrology,Journal of Environmental Science, Toxicology and Food Technology and Journal of Progress in Energy and Combustion Science etc. He is active member of different International Organization like American Chemical Society (ACS), since 2005, UNICEF volunteer organization member, 2006, World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Delhi, Yahoo Water Watch Group etc. He has research interest in the field of Biogas, Energy, Hydrology, Geo-informatics, Bioremediation, Nanometrial etc.
