Dr. Sumit Gandhi

Biography

Dr. Sumit Gandhi presently working as an Associate Professor and completed his Ph.D from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad in 2009. His work area of Ph.D was Flow Behavior in Prismatic and Non-Prismatic Open Channels. He has completed M.Tech in Water Resource from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad in 2004 and B.Tech in Civil Engineering from North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon, Maharashtra in 2001. He has joined this organization in July 2006 as Lecturer and has more than eleven years of teaching and research experience. He has guided various UG projects and presently three scholars are pursuing their research for Ph.D. under his supervision in various fields of Civil Engineering. His areas of interest includes Open Channel Flow, Spillways, Sediment transport, Design of hydraulic structures and Water Resources. He has published book and many research papers in various journals of repute. He is also associated with many renowned International Journals as reviewer/editorial board member; and reviewed more than forty articles and book chapter. He has attended and presented many research papers in different international/national conferences in India and abroad. He is associated as organizer, Technical Program Committee member, reviewer, etc. for various conferences and workshops. He is a life member of Indian Society of Hydraulics (ISH).
