Biography
Anil Kumar did his B.Tech. in Civil Engineering from NIT Kurukshetra and won two accolades: the University Gold Medal and Sh. D R Gupta memorial Gold Medal. Having worked in Larsen and Toubro for some time, he pursued M.Tech. in Structural Engineering from NIT Kurukshetra and topped the batch with distinction. He has about 13 years of academic experience including more than 10 years in JUIT. His research interests are Blast- and Earthquake-Resistant Structures, Structural Vibration Control, Smart Structures, Uncertainty Quantification and Reliability in Civil Engineering. He has published about 27 research papers and two books from international publishers: (1) Active Control of Buildings Subjected to Seismic Excitations (LAMBERT Academic Publishing, Germany, ISBN: 978-3846527146), and (2) Engineering Mechanics: Statics & Dynamics (McGraw Hill, ISBN: 978-93-392-1917-8).
