Biography
Dr. Navendu Goswami joined the institute in 2006 and at present an Associate Professor in Department of Physics & Materials Science & Engineering. Dr. Goswami did his M.Sc. in 1999 followed by Ph.D. in Physics from School of Physical Sciences, JNU, New Delhi. Qualified UGC-CSIR JRF and NET for two times and was among the top 20% CSIR JRF awardees in Physics. During his Ph.D. and afterwards his research area is Nanoscience and Technology. Present research interest in synthesis, characterization and applications of nanostructures of metal oxides, II-VI semiconductors, metal-polymer nanocomposites etc. and computational nanoelectronics/nanotechnology. He has supervised diverse Nanotechnology projects at M.Tech. and B.Tech. levels. He published 33 peer-reviewed research papers; 26 in international journals and 7 in conference proceedings. He attended/presented research papers in about 37 international/national conferences, attended 24 scientific workshops and delivered 6 invited talks in India and abroad. Dr. Navendu Goswami is member of Material Research Society (MRS) USA, MRS India, Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA), Indian Physics Association (IPA), Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT). He is Editorial board member and referee for several journals; Journal of Nanoparticle Research, Applied Physics A, International Nano Letters, Applied Surface Science and Materials Chemistry and Physics etc.
