Biography
Dr. Papiya Lahiri is presently working as Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Humanities and Social Sciences, Jaypee University of Technology. She is a published poet in India, USA and Canada, holding a Ph.D in Canadian Drama. The author is also a theatre activist having directed Indian and European plays. She has presented papers in various national and international Conferences/Seminars in India and abroad. The author has also worked as the Project Associate in the Centre for Australian and New Zealand Studies, HP University, Shimla. She taught UG and PG classes as Asst. Prof. in the Dept. of English and Modern European Languages, Banasthali University, Jaipur (Rajasthan) and was involved in various academic and cultural activities. Dr. Lahiri’s book on the celebrated Canadian playwright Sharon Pollock is being used as a major secondary source in Universities where Canadian Drama/Sharon Pollock is prescribed in syllabus.
