Himanshu Pandey

Biography

Dr. Himanshu Pandey is working as Assistant Professor (Grade I) in Department of Physics and Materials Science and Engineering. Dr. Pandey received B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree from C. S. J. M. University, Kanpur. Then, he gained teaching experience at undergraduate level as a lecturer. After this, he joined Condensed Matter Low Dimensional Systems Laboratory, Department of Physics, IIT Kanpur and obtained Ph.D. degree in 2014 under supervision of Prof. R. C. Budhani and Prof. Rajendra Prasad. Henceforth, he started to work as Project Scientist in the same department and afterwards joined National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), Tsukuba, Japan as a post-doctoral research associate. Dr. Pandey has been working in the field of Heusler alloy thin films and their exploration for versatile applications; optimization of magnetic recording media and oxide heterostructures. These research investigations along with other projects undertaken till now have appeared in the form of peer reviewed manuscripts inreputed international journals and international/national conferences. He has attended several conferences/workshops at the international/national level and presented his research work. He has reviewed research papers of many international journals such as Journal of Applied Physics, Applied Physics Letters, Applied Physics A, Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, and Transactions on Magnetics, IEEE. Dr. Pandeyis a member of Indian Physics Association (Mumbai) and Magnetic society of Japan.
