Biography
A mining industry veteran with over 33 years of experience, Mr. Hervinder Singh is currently the Business Head & Executive Vice President, based at JSPL – Jharkhand. He oversees the business and operations in the state of Jharkhand including the manufacturing unit at Patratu; which produces JSPL’s flagship retail brand - Jindal Panther TMT Rebars. Mr. Singh boasts of diverse exposure to various facets of mining operations, engineering and project management experiences in India and overseas; including beneficiation system & bulk material handling system design, technical due diligence and evaluation of mineral deposits, business management and government affairs. Mr. Singh is a qualified Mining Engineer from NIT - Raipur, and started his career with Coal India in 1982. Over the years, he worked in various capacities in SAIL, Wings Digital (USA) and was the Managing Director – Essar Steel in Iran. He has been associated with JSPL since 2010, and formerly also headed the Mining (Non-coal) business of the group.
