Biography
Mr Kharbanda, began his journey in JSPL - as the Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO), Global Business and was responsible for Business development for Africa. He garnered extensive knowledge of the mines and minerals ecosystem while managing the entire African Mining operations for the group. He played an important role in JSPL’s acquisitions in iron ore mining and initiation of power projects in select countries of Africa. Mr. Kharbanda began his career as a JRF & Lecturer with University of Lucknow. Over the years, he has spearheaded the HR function in senior positions across companies such as Reliance Petroleum, Bharti Airtel, and Escotel (now Idea Cellular). Prior to JSPL, he was the CHRO, Sistema Shyam Teleservices Ltd. (SSTL) wherein he was responsible for spearheading the People - Strategy & Practices function. Mr. Kharbanda is an alumnus of Harvard Business School with an Advanced Management degree. He is an MBA from ICFAI University specializing in Finance & HR. His academic repertoire also includes an Advanced Diploma in Finance (CFA charter) and Bachelors of Law from the University of Lucknow.
