Biography
Mr. Rakesh Kumar is the Executive Director – Operational Excellence at Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. He is Chartered Accountant by profession. His present responsibilities include driving and monitoring operational excellence initiatives in the JSPL business operations across all locations in India and abroad. His focus areas include establishing the correct product mix, cost optimisation, working capital management and CAPEX feasibility for current and envisaged projects. He has been associated with JSPL for over twenty six years and has contributed enormously to the exponential growth of the organisation. He has played a key role in overall business development, expansions and land acquisitions in steel, mining & power projects at JSPL. Over the years, Mr Kumar has served in different capacities viz. Head of Finance & Accounts, Commercial and Marketing across Raigarh & Angul Locations.
