Biography

VIVEK BAPAT Vivek Bapat (born on January 3rd, 1962 at Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh), did graduation in commerce, from Jiwaji University, Gwalior (1982), completed master's degree in Social Work from University of Mumbai, Mumbai (1984) and PhD. from Jiwaji Uniersity, Gwalior(1993). As he completed his post graduation, he joined as Research Associate in his own institute. In November 1984 he joined as Project Officer/Lecturer as Adhoc and in Feb.1987 as regular, in Centre for Adult/Continuing Education & Extension, Jiwaji University, Gwalior., The work done by him for literacy programme was highly appreciated by District Literacy Committee & State Resource Centre for A.E., Indore, (M.P.). State Resource Centre had recognized him as Key Level Resource Person for training purpose and number of training programmes were attended in this capacity by him. In year 2000, department was converted as teaching department, where he played an important role in preparation of post graduation course in Extension Education and Social Work, which is in high demand now. Two students qualified NET (UGC), and submitted their Ph.D.thesis under his supervision. Right now three Ph.D.students are working with him. Sardar Patel National Award for Literacy 2004 was received by him from International Association of Educators for World Peace and Circle for Spiritual Aid to Life, India. Need Assessment Project was completed by him for Childline Foundation of India, Mumbai(2006), on the basis of this repot Childline project is sanctioned to Gwalior by Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (Government of India). He has been involved in problem solving process of families for last more than 15 years, where he has handled number of marital conflict cases as counselor. Right now he is working as professor for School of Studies in Lifelong Education Extension & Social Work, Jiwaji University, Gwalior (M.P.)
