Biography
Dr. Y.K. Jaiswal (born on January 30, 1961 at Vatanasi, UP, India) did B.Sc. (1979), M.Sc. (1981) and Ph.D. (1988) from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, UP, India. He qualified CSIR-JRF NET examination in 1985. He joined as Lecturer in 1988 in the School of Studies in Biochemistry. He was awarded a special Post-doctoral fellowship by the Rockefeller Foundation (USA) and worked at the Centre for Biomedical Research, The Population Council, New York (USA) between 1992 to 1994 in the area of Reproductive Immunology. He was appointed as Reader 1996 and subsequently as Professor in 2004. Dr. Jaiswal received ARTA International Awards for Research Achievement/Lecturership during ARTA International Conference held at Innsbruck (Austria) in 1994. He also received Dr. Vishwanath Best Young Author Award during 2nd Asian Oceanic Conference of Andralogy held at Chandigarh (India) in 1996. Best Science Research Award (Under Teacher's Category) for contribution in Science was given to him on National Science Day in 2009 at Gwalior (India).

Dr. Jaiswal's research interests lie broadly in the area of Molecular Biology, Reproductive Immunology and Cancer Biology.
