Biography
Mr Ramkumar Agrawal is Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Institute of Engineering & Technology (IET), JK Lakshmipat University, Jaipur. He did his Master’s Degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (Formerly University of Roorkee) in Thermal Engineering in 1993, and B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Madhav Institute of Technology and Science, Gwalior in 1989. In an academic career spanning over 20 years, he has held Teaching, Research and Administrative positions in various academic institutes including IIT Delhi, Mody Institute of Technology and Science (A Deemed University), Lakshmangarh, and others. During this period, he has taught a number of courses such as Engineering Thermodynamics, Thermodynamics of Biological systems, Heat Transfer, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning, Internal Combustion Engines, Energy Conversion Systems, etc. During his stay in IIT Delhi, he helped in completion of many Research Projects such as 1. “Ventilation and Air-Conditioning load calculation for proposed Delhi Metro Railway Transit System (M.R.T.S.)” sponsored by RITES, 2. “Energy Audit of Rajdhani Express” sponsored by Ministry of Indian Railway and other projects funded by Switzerland Embassy etc. Mr Agrawal has to his credit three text books related to engineering. As faculty in various institutions he guided seven M.Tech Thesis. He has published and presented research papers in several national and international journals and conferences. He has attended many Faculty Development Programs (FDP), Workshops, and Seminars. He also developed Laboratories of Internal combustion Engines, Steam turbine power, etc. in three institutions. He has been also speaker in Faculty Development Program. He has also attended many FDP through Video Conferencing organized by NITTTR Chandigarh and IIT Bombay. He is a life member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), New Delhi and Solar Energy Society of India (SESI), New Delhi.
Research Interest
His research experience includes Refrigeration and Air conditioning, Internal Combustion Engines, Renewable Energy.
