Biography
After 10 years as Professor of Molecular Immunology at the RVC, I am looking for new challenges in a more senior position in either academia or in a Vet Pharma Company environment - Consultant Immunologist (DGfI) - Certified veterinarian with PhD (DrMedVet) in Virology (ETH Zuerich) and PhD in Immunology (UoLondon) with 18+ years experience in the field of innate immunity, pathogen recognition, cellular and receptor biology and antigen presenting cell function; - Broad background in life sciences with publication record (PubMed: Werling, D); - Strong management skills in academic settings (more than 10 years experience in mentoring and supervising junior scientists, postdocs, students and RAs); - Some experience in industrial settings - Experience in consultancies (please see Werling Scientific Ltd) and always looking for new challenges Experience in a number of therapy areas including anti-infectives, bacteriology, vaccines and virology
