Biography
Prior to joining K.R.Mangalam University, Gurgaon, Surbhi Bhatia has worked at Echelon Institute of technology (CSE) as an Assistant Professor since 2012. She is pursuing Ph.D. (2014) in Computer Science in the area of Opinion Mining from Banasthali University, Rajasthan. She has done M.Tech. In Computer Sc.(2012) from Amity University and B.E. in Information Technology (2010) from Maharishi Dayanand University. Surbhi Bhatia has a total of 6 years of teaching experience and has guided two M.Tech. Dissertations. She is member of professional bodies like CSI, IEEE. She has published 16 research papers in various International/National Journals and International/National Conferences. Her area of interest includes Data mining, Sentiment Analysis, Information Extraction, Genetic algorithms. In addition to teaching conventional CS courses like Data Structures, Operating systems, Data warehousing & Data Mining. She is passionate about teaching and her critical thinking skills make her a good researcher. She is a great communicator having infallible optimism in every situation. She makes sure that whatever subject she is teaching meets the highest standards. She has also participated in Industrial visit, student’s career development training and placements of B.TECH, MTECH students. She is the coordinator of Computer Club at SOET. So, has engaged herself in encouraging the students to organize, participate in event competitions, new software technology training, and school’s club activity.
