Biography

Dr. P.A. Jose is with Forest ecology department has specialized in population structure dynamics and conservation of rare endemic trees of Western Ghats. He has extensive experience in Species recovery of endemic and RET plants of the Western Ghats viz., ecosystem analysis, population dynamics, vegetative propagation, multiplication and plant production, seed and nursery Management. His current interests include population evaluation, development of propagation protocol, restoration etc. of RET trees of Western Ghats of Kerala and preparation of multidisciplinary data base for RET plants of Southern Western Ghats. He has in credit of more than 50 research publications in various Journals/ Proceedings and registered three new ornamental germplasm at NBPGR, New Delhi. He has undergone three months Internship on Horticulture at Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, England and also awarded as Young Scientist by the Govt. of Kerala and by Indian Association of Angiosperm Taxonomists (IAAT).
