Biography
Suva Mohanty is a faculty in the Marketing Department. He was awarded prestigious GRISP scholarship to study PhD in the field of Applied Economics and Marketing at University of Reading in United Kingdom. Prior to earning his PhD, he was awarded international education scholarship and graduate assistantship to study MBA at University of Wisconsin in the United States. In the past, he has worked for various companies such as Firstlogic, Welshire Capital LLC, AlliedSignal (Honeywell Inc.) and AES (CESCO). During his work with various multinational corporations in United States, Germany and India, he developed the interest for teaching and research.
Research Interest
Prof. Mohanty’s teaching interests include ‘Services Marketing’, ‘Consumer Behaviour’ and ‘Retailing Management’. Prof. Mohanty’s research focus lies on solutions for companies to help consumers eat healthier and marketers for finding niche market, new product development and positioning. Currently his research is focused on how people’s judgments and evaluations vary as a function of different choice-making strategies towards the purchase of staple items.
