Biography
Dr. Rajiv Rao is an experienced clinical consulting pathologist with more than 10 years of experience in various fields of pathology. Completing his post-graduation from Grant Medical College, he was responsible for setting up the department of laboratory medicine at P. Dr. D.Y. Patil Hospital and Research Centre and the laboratory at Wockhardt Hospital. He has undergone internal auditor training for ISO 15189 and NABL accreditation and has been responsible in the accreditation of three different pathology laboratories’ He is also an assessor for the Quality Council of India. His forte is Quality and Laboratory Management using system driven processes. He has been invited as a speaker on various forums like the Solapur Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists, Maharashtra Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists and Association of Practicing Pathologists (India). A dedicated teacher, he is actively involved in teaching post graduate students at the P. Dr. D.Y. Patil Medical College. He also has publications in international journals and has done research in the relation between HIV and the liver.
