Biography
Dr. J S Rawat has done his PhD Geography. Currently he is working as Professor in Kumaun University in Department of Geography. He has successfully completed his Administrative responsibilities as Member of Campus Head, Department of Geography, Kumaun University, SSJ Campus Almora, Coordinator- MSc. Remote Sensing and GIS Programme of Kumaun University. His research interests are Geomorphology/Hydrology/GIS/Climate Change Science. About 111 research papers of his work were published in the leading National and International Journals. He also authored 3 books. He is the Member of New York Academy of Sciences, American Geophysical Union, Geological Society of India, Bangalore, Indian Institute of Geomorphologists, Central Himalayan Environment Association (CHEA), Geographical Society of India, Himalayan Environment Management Association, Water Restoration Mission, Government of Uttarakhand, Academic Council, Kumaun University Nainital, Working Group, National Institute of Hydrology, Roorkee, Uttarakhand State SDI Exicutive Committee Govt of Uttarakhand, District Coordination Committee for GIS Development, District, Nainital.
