Biography
Chitra Kannabiran has been associated with LVPEI since 1996 and leads the molecular genetics research at LVPEI, which looks into the genetic basis of eye disease. She received her PhD from the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore, and served as a post-doctoral fellow at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, New York, and at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey, USA.
