Jagadesh C. Reddy

Biography

Jagadesh Reddy completed his medical education from Kurnool Medical College, followed by a Residency in Ophthalmology from Regional Eye Hospital, Kurnool. He did a long-term fellowship in Cornea and Anterior Segment from L V Prasad Eye Institute, followed by a one-year Fellowship in Cornea, External Disease and Refractive Surgery from Wills Eye Institute, Philadelphia, USA. He has received training in advanced Descemets Membrane Endothelial Keratoplasty (DMEK) from Prof. Gerrit Melles (Father of modern day lamellar corneal transplantation) at Netherlands Institute of Innovative Ocular Surgery, Rotterdam. Dr Reddy currently heads the cataract and refractive services at LVPEI. He is also an Adjunct Asst. Prof. of Ophthalmology at School of Medicine and Dentistry, University of Rochester Medical Center, Rochester, New York. Jagadesh has presented several papers at various national and international forums. He actively publishes his research in various international peer-reviewed journals and also serves as a reviewer for these journals. Dr Reddy is a member of several professional societies like the American Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgery, European Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgery, International Society of Refractive Surgeons, Cornea Society of India and All India Ophthalmology Society. He is also the member of the Cornea Society which includes only top 150 corneal surgeons from across the world.
