Biography
PVKS Varma completed his basic medical education from M S Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore, followed by an MS in Ophthalmology from J N Medical College, Belgaum. In 1995, he did a fellowship in Comprehensive Ophthalmology from L V Prasad Eye Institute, with training in glaucoma, retina and cornea services and received the best outgoing fellow award for the year. He worked as Assistant Professor at Maharajah’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Nellimarla, after which he did a glaucoma fellowship in 2006 and joined L V Prasad Eye Institute, Visakhapatnam.
Research Interest
PVKS Varma areas of interest include angle closure glaucoma, psychophysical tests, optic disc imaging and medical retina.
