Dr. Jacques Perez

Biography

 Jacques Perez has been in India since April 2013 as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), LANXESS India Private Limited. From May 1, 2014, he has been appointed as the Vice Chairman & Managing Director, in addition to his existing role as CFO at LANXESS India.  Born in France, Perez obtained a PhD in Pharmacy from University of Lyon (France) in 1988. He later obtained post graduate degrees in Business Management from CESMA and in Industrial Pharmacy in Lyon. Immediately after, Perez joined Roussel Uclaf, a Hoechst Group company, in Peru, as Product Manager. He held positions of increasing responsibility in Project management, Marketing and Sales, including the position of Managing Director for Roussel Uclaf in the countries of Ecuador and Columbia respectively.  Perez later moved to Hoechst Marion Roussel (Sanofi Aventis Group), France, and served as Senior Internal Auditor and Audit Risk Manager for France, Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa. From 2000 onwards, he was assigned key positions  such as Regional Chief Financial Officer for South East Asia and Indian sub-Continent, Head of Corporate Business Analysis & Management Reporting, Deputy Financial Director and Head of Material Master Data in Global Supply Chain, among others. Perez joined LANXESS in July 2008 as Chief Financial Officer of LANXESS Elastomeros do Brasil S.A, Duque de Caxias, stepping into the integration of a major acquisition in Brazil. He is married and has two children. Perez is fluent in French, English, Spanish and Portuguese. His notable interest is in diversity and to be in a multi-cultural environment; he believes it is a rewarding experience, a priceless opportunity for personal and professional development, as well as a foundation to always perform better.
