Biography
He holds a Post Graduate degree in Political Science from Delhi University. He is a retired IAS [(U.T. Cadre) AGMU 1972 batch]. He retired in 2007 in the grade of Principal Secretary (Home), Govt. of NCT of Delhi. He has vast experience in the field of education, elections, agriculture, animal husbandry and diary development and planning process. He had supervised works pertaining to rural development like rural water supply, rural roads, working of Panchayats and Jawahar Rozgar Yojna, etc. He also held senior level positions in various Government ministries and offices such as Principal Secretary (Urban Development), Govt. of NCT of Delhi, Administrator of Union Territories of Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli with Headquarters at Daman, Chief Electoral Officer and Secretary, Election Department, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, Secretary, Social Welfare, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation of Delhi, Additional Commissioner, Municipal Corporation of Delhi, Commissioner-cum-Secretary Food & Supplies, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Planning and Development Commissioner, Andaman & Nicobar Administration Port Blair, Secretary, NCERT, Ministry of Human Resources Development, Govt. of India, Deputy Commissioner, Municipal Corporation of Delhi.
