Biography
His areas of specialization are Indian Sociology, Sociology of Environment and Tribal, Rural Studies. He has organized two International Conferences and Seventeen National Seminars and Conferences. He is the General Secretary of Ethnographic and Folk Culture Society and Vice President of Indian Anthropological Association. He is Vice President of RC-13 of International Sociological Association and Editor E News Letter, Member, Managing Committee, Indian Sociological Society. He was convenor, RC-07 on Rural, Tribal and Peasant Communities.
