Biography
Dr Taraprasad Das is currently Vice Chairman of the L.V. Prasad Eye Institute. He is a professor of ophthalmology at Sun Yat-Sen University in Guangzhou, China; adjunct professor of ophthalmology at the University of Rochester Medical School in Rochester, New York; and fellow of the National Academy of Medical Sciences, India
Research Interest
Trained in medical and surgical management of vitreoretinal diseases, he has received 18 research grants. He has led, and is currently leading, a number of research programs in diabetic retinopathy and public health. He also has an active clinical and research interest in infective endophthalmitis. He has published 198 papers, 39 book chapters, and has authored or edited 8 books. He has given more than 350 lectures in India and abroad.
