Biography
Dr Surekha Tayade, MBBS, MD, DNB (Obstetrics and Gynaecology), MNAMS, FICOG, did her graduation and post-graduation from Government Medical College, Nagpur. First amongst girls in Higher Secondary examination in Maharashtra, she also won Anand Jiwne gold medal in Medicine from Nagpur University. She worked as senior resident in Holy Family Hospital, Bandra, Mumbai and as Consultant Gynecologist in Aurangabad for two years. She was also trained in Gynae- Oncology from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. She joined MGIMS in 2002 and presently heads an independent unit.
