Dr. Arun H Shastry

Biography

 Dr. Arun H Shastry, MB.BS, PhD(NIMHANS), CGC is a Clinician-Scientist and has joined Mapmygenome in September 2017 as the Head of Medical Operations.  Dr. Shastry has an immense passion to drive medical advances from bench to bedside. He was the recepient of 'ICMR MD-PhD TSST2' award to pursue a 5 year 'Ph.D. in Clinical Neurosciences' from NIMHANS. With a background of clinical knowledge, a vast experience in molecular genetics and genome analysis, Dr. Shastry drives the clinical utility for various genetic diagnostic tests and manages a team of scientists handling genetics and genomic techniques. As a certified Genetic counselor, he also provides pre- and post-test genetic counseling at Mapmygenome, Hyderabad.  With 7 years of rich experience in the field of medical genetics and genomics, Dr. Shastry has been invited as a guest speaker and has conducted various CME programs for clinicians.
