Biography
Dr Mukherjee obtained his B.Sc and M.Sc degrees in Physics from Jadavpur University and was awarded the University gold medals on both occasions. He obtained his Ph.D from Jadavpur University working with CSIR fellowship. His area of research was Nonlinear Integrable Systems. He continued to work in the area of nonlinear dynamics and complex systems and was the Joint Coordinator of the first Winter School on Complexity organized at WBUT in December, 2005. His current research interests are non-linear dynamics, chaos and complex systems and their applications in different areas of natural, biological and social sciences as well as mathematical and statistical analysis of datasets. In his professional life, Dr Mukherjee has worked in the education and training wing of a software organization, where among others, he was involved with Management and technology courses offered by University of London (External Programme). He has taught mathematics, statistics and quantitative techniques in different institutions. He has also been involved in conducting number of Management Development Programmes.
