In 1978, Joined Shroff Eye Centre as Medical Director & Partner, and started Cataract & Intraocular Lens (IOL) Implant services, as well as Refractive Surgery services Has been a pioneer in the field of intraocular lens implantation surgery in India Performed his first implant surgery in 1982 Done over 30,000 implant procedures Also one of the first in the country to start phacoemulsification (microincision sutureless cataract surgery) with foldable intraocular lens implantation in 1992. Been performing Excimer laser keratorefractive surgeries (PRK, LASIK, epi-LASIK and Femtosecond Intralase) as well as ICL implantation having performed over 5000 refractive surgical procedures Actively involved in the Diplomate National Board (DNB) programme for training young ophthalmologists Senior Consultant and Adviser as well as a trustee of the Shroff Charity Eye Hospital (SCEH), Daryaganj
