Biography
Dr. Rath received his B.Sc and M.Sc degree in General Microbiology from Bangalore University (Gyana Bharati) in the year 2005 and 2008, respectively. Meanwhile, he also did a specialization course in Medical Microbiology and Immunology from Jain University, Bangalore in the year 2006. He started his teaching career in MSB as a junior faculty in 2009. He went on to do his PhD in Microbiology from Utkal University and received his degree in the year 2015. During his PhD tenure, he worked as a project fellow in a major research project, funded by Department of Science and Technology, Govt of Odisha. He also received with the CSIR Senior Research Fellowship during the year 2012 -15. He has done extensive research on the field of “bacterial drug resistance and alternative drugs search”. Presently, he is having 23 international publications in reputed journals including high impact factor journals like Journal of Public Health, Springer and Journal Infection and Public Health, Elsevier. Currently, he is working on the field of “isolation and identification of drug resistant genes from Enteropathogenic bacteria” and “evaluation of host toxicity of herbal drugs on human cord blood cells”. He has total of 8 years of teaching experience both in UG and PG level.
