Biography

 Shilpa Shridhar Divekar is the Managing Director of Monsanto India Limited (MIL) with effect from 1 September 2014. An accomplished professional with over 18 years of experience across Consulting and Food & Agriculture sectors, Shilpa during her seven years at Monsanto, has successfully led several teams in Business, Strategy and Corporate Affairs. Prior to this role, Shilpa was leading the Corporate Engagement function that included engagement with external stakeholders including Central & State Governments, Media, Industry and Farmer Associations, focusing on Corporate Marketing & Communications, developing Monsanto’s Sustainability & Corporate Social Responsibility programs focused on India and working on key strategic levers of growth through partnerships. An MBA, Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant and Post Graduate in Commerce, Shilpa has extensive and diverse career experience across the agriculture and food sector at Bunge & Monsanto and the consulting industry at Arthur Andersen & KPMG. She developed her passion for the Agriculture sector during her consulting career and decided to be part of the Agriculture & Foods industry
