Biography
Dr. Salim Joseph Thomas is the Non-Executive Independent Director of MRF Ltd. Dr. Thomas was appointed as Additional Director of the Company on 23 January 2009 and appointed as a Director in the AGM held on 19 March 2009. He is an MBBS Graduate from the Armed Forces Medical College, Pune. He has obtained his MS & MNAMS [GenSurgery] in 1979. Dr Salim J Thomas has served in the Indian Navy from 1971-1986. He was a member of the first Indian Antarctic Expedition in 1981. He is a recipient of Nao Sena Medal for Gallantry by the President of India in 1982 Presently he is a Senior Consultant attached to Apollo Speciality Hospital Chennai. He is a trustee of Sishya School, Chennai. He is a Director of Icegen Computing (P) Ltd, a company dealing with back office processes for healthcare facilities in the US and Madras Medical Care & Health Centre (P) Limited, a company dealing with healthcare & patient management.
