Biography
Patricia is presently associated with the School of Buddhist Studies, Philosophy and Comparative Religions as a Teaching Fellow. She will receive her PhD from the School of Oriental and African Studies, (University of London) in the coming months. She also holds an MA in History from SOAS, an MA in Eastern Classics from St. John's College (Santa Fe, New Mexico), and BAs in Religious Studies and English from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She previously taught courses in Religion, Philosophy, Literature, and Journalism at the College of Santa Fe (New Mexico). Her last trip to India was as a Summer History Fellow for the Wikimedia Foundation.
Research Interest
Hindu and Buddhist Tantra; the history of religion; religious art and architecture; religion and the bodily experience; religious and social identities; semiotics of ritual language; gendered experiences of the divine.
