Biography
Lau Ping Sum, Pearce, served as a Director of Ang Mo Kio Community Hospital from 1993 to 1999 and Chairman of the Medifund Committee of the hospital from 2001 to 2005. He was the Head of Computer Services in a statutory board and two local banks in Singapore from 1973 to 1996. He held the position of the Political Secretary to the Minister of Health between 1981 and 1985. He was a Member of Parliament from 1980 to 1996. Mr. Lau served as General Manager of NTUC Link Pte Ltd., from 1997 to 2000 and is an Independent Director of Cortina Holdings Limited, Sunpower Group Ltd. and Huan Hsin Holdings Ltd. He is a member of the Singapore Institute of Directors. Mr. Lau holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from the Australian National University and a Diploma in Business Administration from the National University of Singapore.
