Dr. Komal Prasad

Biography

 Completed his Neurosurgical training from the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST),Thiruvananthapuram, an institute of national importance, regarded as one of the best in the country. He also underwent training at NIMHANS, Bangalore, in the management of traumatic brain injuries. A rank holder from the Mysore Medical College, Dr. Komal has a special interest in the quality of healthcare from his postgraduate days at the Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences, Hubli and Senior Residency at the prestigious Jawaharlal Institute for Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Pondicherry. He is an assessor for the National Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH), Quality Council of India. He also holds with distinction, a postgraduate diploma in hospital and healthcare management (PGDHHM).

Research Interest

 epilepsy surgery, neurovascular surgery, neuro-oncology, neuro-endoscopy and spinal surgery.
