Biography
Deepti Ganapathy, A journalist, who has worked with leading media groups for close to a decade, Deepti is a faculty in the Communication Area. She is also a Visiting Professor at IIM Indore. Her articles cover a wide range of issues including promoting sustainable cities, realty growth, civic infrastructure, women’s issues, education, health and travel in publications such as The Times of India, Deccan Herald, CNN and NatGeo Traveller. During her stint in the media, she was selected for the prestigious Group Study Exchange Program to New Zealand in 2009 by Rotary International. One of her articles was nominated for the CNN Young Journalist Award 2007 in the Asia Pacific region. Her research is focused on the use of Social Media for Communication in Governance and Brand Building. Deepti is also the co-founder of INDEEP- a social enterprise that empowers rural children and teachers by introducing them to creative learning techniques.
