Biography
Dr. Karunakar B is a management teacher, thinker and practitioner having over 32 years’ experience. He is the Program Chair and a Full-Time Professor in Strategic Management and Leadership at NMIMS. Prior, he was the Founder Director of NMIMS, Hyderabad for 5 years. Before, he has held responsible positions in financial services, manufacturing, IT and pharmaceutical industries. He had designed and delivered several management development programs for managers in leading private & public sector companies. The focus of his career has been in education and training during the last fifteen years where he last worked with Dr. Reddy’s as the Head of its Learning & Development and DRFHE. He had earlier written the book “Corporate Champions: Excellent Companies of India” that got published by Sage Publications in 2012. He has 3 edited books in leadership & strategy and 30 publications to his credit in various Journals of International and National repute over the years. He is an engineering graduate from IIT Bombay and a post-graduate in Management from IIM Kolkata.
